This program aims to increase awareness of natural disasters and teach safety, emotional coping and personal preparedness skills to students in grades three through five (eight to 11 years old). WebbThe Pillowcase project can be taught by trained Red Cross volunteers in 45 to 60 minutes. This week I passed the certification quiz, so now I can teach the pillowcase program in schools. Also, I learned that the Red Cross has a Disney Mickey activity book which teaches children how to be prepared and safe during emergencies.
